Workshop on “Comparing MongoDB and SQL: Technical Aspects”
A workshop on “Comparing MongoDB and SQL: Technical Aspects” was successfully organized on 25th February 2026 at Shri C. J. Patel College of BCA, under Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar, in collaboration with Jove Infoverse & Edunest. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 150 students belonging to BCA, CE-IT, and BSc-IT programs. The workshop provided valuable insights into modern database technologies, highlighting key differences, practical applications, and industry relevance of MongoDB and SQL.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Placement Coordinator Mr. Shahnavaj Khan Pathan, with strong support from the entire BCA department staff, ensuring its grand success.

“Cultural Event and State Level Competition”-

“Silver Jubilee Alumni Meet-2025”-
The Alumni Meet of Shri C. J. Patel College of Computer Studies was held on 25/12/2025 at Sankalchand Patel University. More than 100 alumni from various parts of the country and abroad enthusiastically participated in the event. The gathering provided a wonderful opportunity for alumni to relive their college memories, reconnect with their peers, and strengthen their bond with the college community.
The programme was made lively and memorable with music sessions and fun games, which the alumni thoroughly enjoyed. The joyful atmosphere and active participation reflected the strong connection between the alumni and the institution, making the meet a grand success.
“Industry Visit- “TOPS Technologies, Ahmedabad”–
The Department of Computer Science, SHRI C.J. PATEL COLLEGE OF COMPUTER STUDIES (BCA College), Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar, organized an Industrial Visit to “TOPS Technologies, Ahmedabad” on 24th December 2025 for the students of 6th Semester.
TOPS Technologies is a leading IT training and software development company that provides industry-oriented training and solutions in various domains such as software development, web technologies, mobile application development, testing, and emerging technologies. TOPS Technologies focuses on bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by offering practical training, internships, and career guidance to students.
“Industry Visit- “Industrial Visit to Adani Mundra Port”–
An industrial visit to Adani Mundra Port was successfully organized by Shri C. J. Patel College of Computer Studies on 29 and 30 December 2025 with the aim of providing students with real-time industrial exposure and practical understanding of large-scale port operations.The visit began with an informative briefing by Adani officials on Adani Ports and SEZ Limited, emphasizing the strategic importance of Mundra Port in India’s logistics and maritime infrastructure. Students were familiarized with safety protocols, automation systems, cargo handling processes, and sustainability initiatives adopted at the port.During the two-day visit, students explored five major plants/facilities, including container terminals, bulk cargo handling units, logistics and warehousing facilities.
“Poster Making Competition on the Occasion of Research Day”–
Shri C.J. Patel College of Computer Studies (BCA), Sankalchand Patel University, organized a Poster Making Competition on the occasion of Research Day Celebration on August 12, 2025. The theme of the event was “Indian Researchers and Emerging Trends of IT”, aiming to inspire creativity and research-oriented thinking among students.The event aimed to enhance students’ creativity and promote awareness about research through visual expression and innovative thinking. In this competition, BCA students from various semesters participated enthusiastically, presenting posters on diverse research themes related to computer science and emerging technologies. . A total of 22 students participated in the competition, displaying high levels of enthusiasm and originality.
“Ideathon – 2025”–
Sankalchand Patel University successfully organized Ideathon – 2025, a university-level event aimed at fostering innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking among students. The Ideathon provided a dynamic platform for participants from various universities and colleges to brainstorm, design, and present innovative solutions aligned with modern technological, social, and industrial needs.
Student coordinators actively visited different institutes such as C.N. Commerce College, M.N. College, Nootan Science & Commerce College, and various departments including BCA, BBA, SPCE, SSPC, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Dental, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Medical College. During these visits, they effectively promoted the event and created awareness about the theme of Ideathon–2025 among students across different faculties.
“Parent’s Meet”–
The Department of Computer Science, SHRI C.J. PATEL COLLEGE OF COMPUTER STUDIES (BCA College), Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar, organized a parents meet on 14-12-2025
The objective of the Parents Meet was to establish effective communication between parents and the college for the holistic development of students. It aimed to inform parents about their wards’ attendance and academic performance, while also creating awareness regarding the use and benefits of the ERP portal. The session included an explanation of the advantages and career opportunities associated with the BCA Honors Course. Additionally, the meet provided a platform to obtain valuable feedback and suggestions from parents, as well as to address their queries for continuous academic improvement.
“Women’s Awareness Expert session ”–
On the occasion of Women’s Awareness, an expert lecture was organized by Shri C. J. Patel College of Computer Studies, Visnagar, on 13th September 2025 in the BCA classroom (Room No. 5). The aim of the session was to spread awareness about women’s rights and the legal provisions for their protection and empowerment.The session was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Abhijitsing Jadeja. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Aparna Pancholi, a renowned legal expert and women’s rights activist. She provided valuable insights into laws related to women and emphasized their importance in ensuring equality and justice.
“ Teacher’s day celebration 5-9-2025 ”–
Teachers’ Day is a special occasion dedicated to honoring and appreciating teachers for their invaluable contributions to education and society. Celebrated on various dates around the world, it typically involves a range of activities designed to show gratitude and respect for educators. Many schools and colleges organize formal ceremonies and assemblies where students express their appreciation through speeches, songs, and performances, sometimes inviting special guests or former teachers. Students often present handmade cards, flowers, or small gifts as tokens of appreciation, strengthening the bond between students and educators. Institutions may also arrange cultural programs such as poster making, essay writing, and elocution to showcase students’ talents while honoring teachers
“ Yoga Mahotsav Celebration 16-6-2025 ”–
On June 16, 2025, Shri C. J. Patel College of Computer Studies – BCA organized Yoga Mahotsav 2025 at the University Gymnasium, Sports Complex, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. This vibrant event, part of the national initiative marking the countdown to the 11th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2025, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 50 students, including both boys and girls.
The event featured a Surya Namaskar performance and a Poster Making Competition, aimed at promoting the importance of yoga and its relevance within the Indian Knowledge System (IKS). Students actively engaged in the activities, demonstrating discipline, creativity, and awareness about healthy living.
